ABOUT US

We are a locally owned construction and rental company that strives to provide affordable housing for both renters and buyers in the Greenmont area. We have both a love for history and the neighborhood, and work to tastefully remodel homes that have fallen on hard times. Each house we are able to save brings new life to the neighborhood.

15 years ago, the company, Empire 2000llc, bought its first house on Posten Ave. It started as a father daughter team in construction. Adelheid Schaupp and her father Dietrich Schaupp used this first house as a means to learn about renovating and the rental business. Adelheid, who was studying history at the time at WVU, immediately fell inlove with construction. After finishing her studies at WVU she worked along side her father working on a few more homes they gradually purchased in the Greenmont area. Despite Dietrich's best efforts, Adelheid decided to stop pursuing her doctorate in history at Carnegie Mellon to go into the remodeling business full time. Her appreciation for historical preservation and love for remodeling has evolved into a growing rental and construction company today. Sadly Dietrich passed in May of 2016 and was unable to see their most ambitious project, the Second Ward Annex, come to fruition. Today Adelheid works with her partner, Gary Maust to continue building and renovating in Greenmont under Ageless Enterprises, llc.
